Formula E: Blomqvist Set to Sub for Calado at Jaguar

James Calado will miss at least 2 of the 6 Berlin races in August, and possibly be forced to miss the entire event.

Calado also races in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Ferrari. The WEC resumes its season at Spa on August 15th, with Ferrari ordering Calado to be present for FP1 on August 13th, unlike other WEC races in Formula E.

The final Formula E race is on the 13th, with Calado likely to miss the race the day before as well.

Jaguar have signed former Andretti Formula E racer Tom Blomqvist to replace former reserve driver Alex Lynn, who has moved to race at Mahindra in place of Pascal Wehrlein, and will be present at Berlin to race when required.

Jaguar said, “James Calado is currently scheduled to drive for Jaguar Racing in Berlin.

“We are aware of the potential clash with WEC and are monitoring the situation closely. There are plans in place if was the clash was to happen for Berlin.”
