Formula 1 have announced 2 more races to take place in September 2020, after the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
The inaugural Grand Prix of Tuscany will see Mugello’s first ever F1 race event, and will form the end of a triple header following the Belgian Grand Prix and Italian Grand Prix on the 13th September.
Mugello will also be the host of Ferrari’s 1000th Grand Prix, with the Ferrari team owning the circuit. Both Formula 2 and Formula 3 will be supporting the event, with F3 having their season finale.
The Russian Grand Prix at Sochi will take place on its original September 27th date, and will become the first ‘flyaway’ race of the season. The Sochi Autodrom will also be the first venue to host an F1 race open to spectators.

F1 boss Chase Carey said, “We are delighted to announce Mugello and Sochi will be part of the 2020 calendar, and want to thank all our partners for their support in recent weeks.
"We had great start to our season in Austria last weekend and we are increasingly confident in our plans to race throughout the remainder of 2020.
“The Russian Grand Prix is a major moment in our season, and we are looking forward to being back in Sochi in September. We are equally excited to see Formula 1 race for the first time at Mugello, an occasion that will mark Ferrari’s 1000th Grand Prix.
"Both races will be a huge boost for fans with more announcements on the next races in our calendar coming in the weeks ahead.”
The next announcement is expected to reveal the races lines up for October, which are expected to be the return of the Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao for the first time, the Chinese Grand Prix at Shanghai, and the inaugural Vietnamese Grand Prix at Hanoi Street Circuit.
November is looking a little more uneasy however, with the American leg of the season comprising of the US Grand Prix in Texas, the Mexico City Grand Prix and the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo all likely to be cancelled, however no official announcement has yet been made.
It is likely the 2 ‘standby’ circuits of Hockenheim (German Grand Prix) and Imola (San Marino Grand Prix) will fill in the gaps if those races are cancelled.
2 Bahrain races and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix are set to see out the 2020 season in late November/early December.
