BTCC: Official BTCC Game Set for 2022 Release

Today (19/07/20), Motorsport Games has announced a multi-year license to develop the official BTCC video game, as well as the official BTCC Esports Series for the game. The game is set to be released in 2022, on the new generation consoles, PC and mobile.

Motorsport Games are the developers of the NASCAR Heat games, as well as the developers and organisers of 6 major Esports series and events – the 24hrs of Le Mans Virtual, WRX Esports Championships, Formula E Race at Home Challenge, Race of Champions Virtual, Le Mans Esports Series, Veloce’s #NotTheGP and the NASCAR Heat Pro League.

President of Motorsport Games Stephan Hood said, “This partnership is a clear signal of the enormous trust that the BTCC has placed in Motorsport Games. Motorsport Games’ Creative Director Paul Coleman added, “There is a clear demand and appetite for a new touring car game, and we are delighted that we are going to make that a reality. Many of the staff in our studio have fond memories of the TOCA game series and my first job in the games industry was actually working on TOCA Race Driver 2 as a QA Tester. We have some exciting plans that we cannot wait to reveal.”
